Mission Statement
The Current BCS Statutes of 1964, under its Article 2, state that the objectives are:

to carry out activities in the benefit of Commonwealth residents in Chile;

coordinate social activities and promote the welfare of community members;

help British community members in need and
-
promote friendly relations in all aspects between the Commonwealth Community and Chile .
Over the years, the Commonwealth community in Chile has evolved, as has the Society it is set in. The BCS has adapted accordingly and today works to the following objectives:

To protect and administer the financial assets of the British Commonwealth Society

To provide guidance and direction for the benefit of charitable causes

To promote a feeling of belonging to a community with common interests

To promote cultural events within the English-speaking community
-
To provide assistance to those of British origin who are in need of support.
