The Fourteenth Fire Company
The 14th Fire Company is in the bidding process to change the fire truck at the end of 2016. The new truck will probably come from the U.S. or Germany, who are the main producers of this kind of equipment. It is estimated that the new truck will cost about US$ 650 thousand dollars. This will be financed by the Cuerpo de Bomberos de Santiago, the Municipalidad de Providencia and the 14th Fire Compány. The old truck (see picture below), now 15 years old, will be re-allocated to a different company, possibly in the region.
