Dr. Barry Elsby, member of the Legislative Assembly of the Falkland Islands, delivered a lecture on the 25th September to the students of the Universidad Británica, entitled Life, Government and Education in the Falkland Islands. The lecture was attended by HM Ambassador, Fiona Clouder; Pedro Pffefer, President of the UCBC Board and María Cristina Brieba, Dean of the University.

Josefa Gonzalez, Student of English-Spanish translation and winner of a Universidad Británica and Fundación Kennedy scholarship, is pictured below at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) Conservation Centre in Slimbridge, England.

The Instituto Chileno-Británico de Cultura Presentation ceremony:
ICBC presents its PET, KET, FCE y CAE students with Cambridge accreditation certificates. According to ICBC's General Manager, Eduardo Vásquez : “Obtaining this certification validates the teaching our students have received through our programs, which are aligned with the Common European Framework. More importantly, these students now have a powerful and internationally recognized tool, giving them greater academic, social and work opportunities and allowing them to be immersed in today’s globalized world”.
