BRITISH ACTORS’ SURPRISING PERFORMANCE FOR THE INSTITUTO CHILENO BRITANICO (ICBC)
The Lighthouse Theatre Co., a British theatre company, has just completed its second visit to Santiago and participated in the ICBC’s presentationof of its third Gala of British Theatre, in conjunction with the Teatro Universidad Católica. Those attending were representatives of ICBC authorities, teachers, students and alumni along with members of the British Community. The company brought two plays, Mild Oats and Brief Encounters, which were played in English to an audience of over 200 people. Brief Encounters is an abbreviated version of the 1945 British romantic drama by the same name. The presentation ended with a reception where the ICBC community was able to meet and talk to the actors.
